Burrow is a pet health website and newsletter, currently operated independently by its founder ("we", "us", "our"). Burrow is not yet incorporated as a company. You can contact us at hello@thisisburrow.com.
Our content is not veterinary advice
This is the most important thing on this page, so we've put it near the top.
Everything on Burrow, including our guides, blog articles, newsletter, and The Companion, is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified veterinary surgeon.
We are not your vet, and we cannot examine your animal. Only a vet who can assess your pet in person can diagnose a condition or recommend treatment. If you are worried about your animal's health, or if your animal is showing signs of illness or distress, please contact your vet or your nearest emergency veterinary service. If it may be an emergency, do so straight away.
You rely on our content at your own discretion, and you remain responsible for decisions you make about your animal's care.
The Companion
The Companion is an AI-powered chat tool intended to help you think through and organise what you're seeing with your dog or cat. It is not a vet, does not diagnose, and can be wrong or incomplete. Treat anything it says as general information to discuss with your vet, not as a clinical judgement. The same "not veterinary advice" principle above applies fully to The Companion.
Using the site
You may read, share, and link to our content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage or disrupt it.
- Copy, reproduce, or republish substantial parts of our content without our permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
Intellectual property
The content on Burrow, including text, illustrations, diagrams, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other rights. You may not reuse it commercially or republish it without our written permission. You're welcome to link to our pages.
Links to other sites
Our content sometimes links to external websites, such as veterinary and animal welfare organisations. We include these because we think they're useful, but we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or their handling of your data. A link isn't an endorsement of everything on the linked site.
Accuracy and availability
We research our content carefully and aim to keep it accurate and current, but we don't warrant that it is complete, error-free, or up to date at all times, and guidance can change. We may update or remove content at any time. We also don't guarantee that the site will always be available or uninterrupted.
Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, including any decision made about an animal's care. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies. We'll update the "last updated" date when we make changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
